At least one person gets it

Following my lead, John Stewart cranks his criticism of Congress's failure to pass the bailout bill out of the park.

Screw McCain, what the Hell is wrong with Pelosi? The last time I heard someone so inarticulate, he was giving the last State of the Union. Seriously, is she on drugs or something. While we are talking about McCain, didn't he say last week that he'd veto any bill with pork in it? So why'd he vote for the bailout that has more pork in it than a family reunion at Ms. Piggies' house.

Tom Scully: That wasn't pork. Those were tax breaks.

Ha, Ha, very funny. Let's get serious, John (Adams, that is, Stewart can go on doing what he does so well). Enough with trying to be the class clown. With less than 30 days until crunch time, you, Mr. Adams, should tell your adoring public how you are voting. Mr. Johnson has made his position crystal clear. Meanwhile, you have left us hanging. Everyone, from the Obama volunteer who had the balls to knock on your door during the Bills debacle last Sunday to your daughter's first grade teacher, is sitting on the edge of their seats. Please don't tell me you are going to throw your vote away yet again during another critical election year. Rumor is that you flushed your last two presidential votes down the shitter, and I hold you at least partly responsible for the mess we are in now as a result of that lapse in judgment. Please tell me that you are not goin' to forfeit your chance to send that moose killer back to her meltin' iceberg of a state.

Who cares who he votes for? On'ly as hithead could vote for the current offerings. You get what you vote for.

I think the pork/ear marks were very important to the US economy.

I'm sure that Adams will find fault with both candidates and write in a vote for his hero Arnold Schwartzenegger - a fiscal conservative with liberal views on social issues - never mind that Arnold can never be President. Guys like Adams - and I can tell he's the type - don't want to be "responsible" for the wrong vote. Guys like Adams will simply throw a vote away on a write in. True patriots vote for the better of the two real tickets which in this case is inarguably Obama/Biden.

If you keep voting for shitty candidates, you'll keep getting them. Go figure.

That raised an interesting point, John. What would happen if everyone in America withheld their votes except the candidates? McCain/Palin would have 13 electoral votes and Obama/McCain 24. Then we would look to the laws of the remaining 46 states to determine the winner. And some states have bizarre rules. In Florida (where we almost had a tie in Bush/Gore) the winner is determined by drawing lots (Statute 100.181). New Mexico's law is not much better. In the event of a tie, the winner is picked by a game of chance to be determined by a judge.
